[this is good] My husband's family sings this song too! His Hungarian Grandmother started singing it in the 1960s. Do you know the name of the song, or its origin?

Shelley, it came down to us through my Mother's family. They, long ago, came over on the Mayflower (unlike my Dad!) That is all I know, a tradition in her family. They sang it as small children in North Dakota in the early 1900's. Northern Baptists, I believe. No, I don't know its actual name or origin, and was not able to find it on the web.
